Sweet Motha' Child

Sweet Motha' Child is a 12 to 16 piece funk band led by P-Funk keyboardist Danny Bedrosian. The group, which hails completely from the Merrimack river valley of New England, existed as a band for 6 years - from 1998 to 2003. They toured heavily all over the Northeast during this time, and released six albums. Following the group's disbandment in 2003, Bedrosian moved to Florida and was immediately hired as the Keyboardist for George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic. He continues this role to this day, as the longest tenured keyboardist in P-funk history as well as the current music director, having toured the world with the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band. He also divvies up his time as a bestselling author about books dealing with P-Funk history. He (as a member of P-Funk is a recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Grammy award, and has also been a part of a couple of Grammy nominations for his work with several important artists like George Clinton, Louie Vega, and Kendrick Lamar, to name but a few. In the past couple of years, Sweet Motha Child reconvened to record their first album in over two decades, simply entitled "7", and in promotion of said album, decided to embark upon a reunion tour for 2026. Sweet Motha Child (or SMC for short) is notable for its funky rhythms, horn-laden danceable melodies, and catchy hooks.
