JRFM/Pizzastock — 4 Bands, 4 Generations, 4 Mental Health 

A musical and personal journey into 4 generations of music, bringing attention to unique mental health challenges and social issues each generation faces 

Pizzastock is a production of the The Jason R Flood Memorial. Please join us for our winter fundraising spectacle with live music, personal stories about different mental health issues, raffles, and of course pizza. Tickets are only $20 in advance.

The Jason R Flood Memorial Fund 501 (C)(3) was created after the suicide of Jason Flood, a Pinkerton graduate. He was a high functioning bright student, athlete, and musician with undiagnosed depression. The Flood family wants to raise awareness and the ability to speak up and reach out when warning signs are recognized.

THE BANDS

Oxidize: 
Formed in 2016, Oxidize is a dynamic metal cover band that brings a fresh perspective to the genre while channeling the raw energy and technical prowess of their legendary influences, including Metallica, Judas Priest, Slayer, Black Sabbath and Megadeth.  The band's lineup features exceptionally skilled musicians James Hultgren (rhythm guitar), Jay McCarthy (lead guitar), Dave Orendorf (bass guitar), Dave “Dystructo” Rosato (drums), and Gina Nicotra (Vocals), who all share a passion for heavy music and a commitment to delivering electrifying performances. 

Lockjaw Smile: 
Lockjaw Smile is an Alternative Rock band from Haverhill, Massachusetts. A trio creating a real original sound all on their own. Hard hitting guitar riffs perfectly entwined with the backbone drumming and grooving bass lines The band consisting of Tony Thanos (Guitar/Vox), Bill Douty (Bass/Vox), and Scott Flaherty (Drums), they are truly a product of the current alternative rock scene.

The Hand Me Downs: 
The HandMeDowns is a ska punk band based in Derry, NH that plays various original and cover songs. Organized in 2020 for a debut at Pizzastock 5, the group evolved from a small collection of people to a large group of ever-changing talented performers. With influences from bands like Less Than Jake and the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, the HandMeDowns explore themes of self-worth and mental health awareness to uplift and share the experience of playing music for fun with the community.

Vermilion:
I awoke in a cold sweat, trembling, shaking, quaking, quivering and other synonyms. I had a lust for grilled cheese, and a hunger for midwest emo, folk punk, and pop punk. It was then that a great apparition appeared. It was Tony Lazz! He greeted me warmly and sweetly, and I knew I was home. The aggressive shaking stopped, and my desire for grilled cheese had been satisfied. Tony and I settled down and started a band. We had two beautiful children, Sari, and Lexie. Together we made the most god awful sounds, and we called it Vermilion. We began playing shows with other bands hailing from the southern New Hampshire area. I love you Kevin. Come home.
