Granite State Blues Society "Memphis Bound" Fundraiser
The Granite State Blues Society is hosting a fundraiser featuring GSBS challenge winners: solo artist Delanie Pickering with a passion and grit of the great delta blues musicians; band winners Downtown Dave and The Deep Pockets always play from heart and soul whether creating their own power originals or giving a new twist to an old cover; and Veronica Lewis a 12 year-old boogie woogie piano player and singer. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the door or online.
Proceeds will be given to the Granite State Blues Challenge winners to help defray travel costs for the artists to compete in an International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee.
The Granite State Blues Society is an affiliate member of The Blues Foundation, which runs the International Blues Challenge, an annual contest spotlighting blues musicians from around the world.
