The FIXX, Colin Blunstone of the Zombies, and Peter Asher

The British are coming…..back! Multi-platinum rockers The FIXX, Colin Blunstone (the legendary voice of The Zombies) and Peter Asher (of Peter & Gordon), join forces for a remarkable night of Brit-rock that transcends generations!
THE FIXX
The FIXX has been often heralded as one of the most innovative bands to come out of the MTV era. Instantly recognizable, The FIXX sound is unmistakably unique and stands out among the thousands of artists filling the airwaves. Songs such as “One Thing Leads To Another”, “Red Skies” and “Saved By Zero” remain everyday staples in television, films and on radio stations that continue to break new acts inspired by the era that The FIXX helped to define. The FIXX were then, and still are now; Cy Curnin on vocals, Rupert Greenall on keyboards, Jamie West-Oram on guitar, Adam Woods on drums, and bassist Dan K. Brown.
COLIN BLUNSTONE
Colin Blunstone , lead singer of The Zombies and acclaimed Solo Artist , returns to US stages this Autumn alongside The FIXX and Peter Asher. His career-spanning show will feature classics from The Zombies, favourites from his solo releases and collaborations. Blunstone reflects on his remarkable 7-decade career, “I joined The Zombies as a teen thinking it would be a two or three year adventure. Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined it would lead to a lifetime in music…and that at the tender age of 80, I’d be the subject of a documentary, recording a new album and embarking on a major tour!”.
The Bangles’ Susanna Hoffs said it best during her heartfelt speech inducting The Zombies into The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in March 2019: “Colin…your voice is just plain sexy!”
The world first fell in love with that mysteriously silky voice from The Zombies’ 1960’s singles “She’s Not There”, “Tell Her No” and “Time of the Season”. The band’s untimely demise in late 1967 led Blunstone into a solo career which began in earnest with the release of the lush and string-laden One Year i n 1971, produced by former Zombies’ bandmates Rod Argent and Chris White, which scored him a Top 15 UK hit with Denny Laine’s “Say You Don’t Mind”. He has released 10 albums of his own over a period spanning more than 50 years, including 1972’s Ennismore and 1974’s Journey , and has lent his remarkable pipes to the recordings of many others, most notably the Alan Parsons Project, who featured Blunstone on their 1982 hit “Old and Wise,” as well as on several albums.
A chance reunion with Rod Argent in 1999 brought about a 25-year resurgence for The Zombies, prolifically touring the world and releasing new material. In the midst, Blunstone still managed to record three solo releases - The Ghost Of You And Me i n 2009, On The Air Tonight i n 2012 and most recently, the EP Less is More i n early 2024, a set of 5 sparsely-recorded demos showcasing those velvety vocals accompanied only by acoustic guitar.
Blunstone celebrated his 80th birthday in June at the London premiere of Hung Up On A Dream: The Zombies Documentary , the first-ever feature film chronicling the band’s journey from teenage friends to Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductees (now available on AppleTV and Amazon).
With Argent’s retirement for health reasons in 2024, Blunstone is refocusing on his solo career while also continuing to celebrate the legacy of The Zombies. A new album, produced by George Moore, is planned for release in 2027.
PETER ASHER
“…as Mr. Asher regaled a delighted audience with stories… he conjured history in the making, before it was set in stone.” – Stephen Holden, New York Times
“…the exuberant Mr. Asher knew anyone who rocked and everyone who mattered.” –Wall Street Journal
“An all-around charming and delightful fellow... highly entertaining” – Steve Martin
We first came to know him through the Lennon/McCartney-penned global smash “World Without Love” as one half of the British Invasion duo Peter & Gordon, whose 10 Top 40 hits ("Lady Godiva", "I Go To Pieces", Lennon/McCartney's "Woman", "I Don't to See You Again", etc) cemented them in our collective consciousness. But Peter Asher ultimately became a legend in the entertainment world as an A & R executive for the Beatles' Apple Records, and as manager and/or producer of the likes of James Taylor, Linda Ronstadt, Carole King, Joni Mitchell, Diana Ross, Cher, Neil Diamond, Morrissey, Roger Waters and so many more. His worked reached incredible heights of both success and creativity, landing him on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine in the 70s and finally resulting in a trip to Buckingham Palace as he became a Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire in 2015. His work as the producer, alongside Walter Afanasieff, of Barbra Streisand's June 2025 release The Secret Of Life: Partners Volume 2 brought him into the studio with America's most legendary female vocalist as they worked on songs with James Taylor, Paul McCartney, Sting, Sam Smith, Hozier, Mariah Carey, Ariana Grande, Laufey and more.
Peter's spellbinding storytellers-style performance will bring to you the songs and stories that have endeared Peter to generations of fans through his music with Peter & Gordon, the great recordings he’s produced, and his SiriusXM radio show, “From Me To You”, and the book based on it, “The Beatles From A to Zed.” Peter will take center stage on vocals and guitar, Robert Berry will feature on piano, bass, and vocals, with Aubrey Richmond on mandolin, violin, and vocals.
