John Payne joined Asia as singer and bass player in 1991. In February 2006, John and fellow Asia members Guthrie Govan and Jay Schellen formed GPS and quickly recruited keyboard wizard Ryo Okumoto from Spock's Beard. The band's debut album Window to the Soul was released in the autumn of that year. In May 2007, John formed Asia featuring John Payne. In November 2007, it was announced that Erik Norlander had joined John, Jay and Guthrie completing the lineup. The band is currently working on the release of the Miltary Man EP and the much-anticipated album Architect of Time, due to be released in 2009. Listen • theasiaband.com
