WINTERBLOOM: Holiday Traditions Rearranged
ANTJE DUVEKOT: (AN-tyuh DOO-va-kot) is a German-born, American-raised singer-songwriter who has risen to the top of the competitive Boston singer-songwriter scene. Her newest release is"the near demise of the high wire dancer."
ListenMEG HUTCHINSON: Lyric-based, contemporary acoustic songwriter. Influences include poet Mary Oliver and performing songwriters David Gray, Patty Griffin, Greg Brown and Shawn Colvin. Originally from rural western-most Massachusetts, Hutchinson is now based in the city of Boston.
ListenNATALIA ZUCKERMAN: Her songs display “the come-hither sultriness of her slinky, earthy vocals.” (Performing Songwriter) Natalia Zukerman has a sound that’s strong yet delicate, gentle yet insistent. You can call the music she makes folk if you want, but there’s jazz in it, too, and blues, and a soulful something or other that you can’t quite put into words.
ListenANNE HEATON: "Anne Heaton combines a healthy sense of New England songwriter folk and college radio-ready verve with a lovely vocal timbre. The result is [Black Notebook], a record that is alternately lush, sweet, funny and sorrowful."
